nonwoven production line

Quote coordination for a nonwoven production line starts with comparable assumptions, not with a brochure speed. Nonwoven Fabric Production Line Sourcing asks each factory to restate formation route, water-treatment or process-air ownership, installation, training and commissioning as named commercial lines. We do not run trials ourselves and we do not convert a public kg/h/m figure into your plant output. Plant procurement managers typically send polymer or staple identity, gsm, width, duty cycle and destination in one packet so bidders answer the same envelope.

Sample trial is the service stage on this page: the buyer names representative fabric, the supplier states what it will demonstrate, and open deviations stay visible before a purchase recommendation. Adjacent converting equipment is out of scope unless you put it on the same RFQ as a separately priced module. Read spunbond inquiry options when the route is resin-to-web, and keep process-route questions next to the quote table.

Service stage and responsibilities

Sample trial

Sample trial: Design input
Buyer supplies the saleable fabric description, polymer or staple blend, target gsm, usable width, and the MD/CD, uniformity or filtration method that will release the roll. Electrical supply (voltage, phase, frequency), cooling water and compressed air demand belong in the same packet because trial machines still consume utilities. State quantity of lines, destination and whether the trial fabric is a hygiene, wipe or filtration SKU.
Supplier answer
The factory names which formation route it will demonstrate, which modules are energized for the trial, and who supplies water-treatment for spunlace or process-air for meltblown/spunbond during that run. It must say whether tooling, installation, shipping, training and commissioning are inside the quoted trial support or billed later. Public RF5 or ANDRITZ pages are reference prompts, not a promise that this supplier has that exact configuration.
Open deviation
Typical gaps are missing water-loop ownership, unnamed spinneret row count, trial fabric that is not the buyer’s polymer, and a speed figure without loss and quality conditions. Those gaps stay on the comparison sheet until closed; they are not filled with industry averages. FAT records, if offered, must cite the same fabric description as the RFQ.

Assumptions suppliers must quote

Formation route, usable width, gsm window, winding format, tooling list, three-phase supply, and whether water-treatment or process-air is included. Throughput must name feedstock and test conditions. Duty cycle for sanitation or product changeover is a separate statement from peak m/min. Work envelope and footprint affect installation cost even when the beam looks similar on a drawing.

Included versus excluded commercial lines

Ask for machine, molds or spinnerets, control cabinet, software licences, installation, training, wear parts, freight and taxes as separate lines. A bundled “turnkey” sentence without those buckets is not a comparable installed project cost. See how spunbond interfaces hide cost.

Send changeover facts with the sourcing request

Quote coordination fails when SKU change parts are left implied. List what swaps between webs before you ask factories to price a nonwoven production line.
